The main Lodge property is 117 hectares and has a number of walking trails which meanders through the natural bushland consisting of Mallee, Pines and Heathland.  An off shoot of this walk is a short stroll to Big M's Pond.  With seating at the waters edge, this is a perfect area to get away from it all and watch the large variety of birds which inhabit the local area.

At the front of the property is Whimpey's Waterhole again this is a great area for a spot of bird watching.  Early morning and late afternoon is a great time to wander through this garden to find species of bird passing through on their migratory trips north and south.

The Little Desert Flora and Fauna trail is a 3.2km trail starting at the Lodge building, winding its way around the property and ending at Whimpey's Waterhole.

To the south of the Lodge is also a walking trail which leads into the Little Desert National Park and connects to the Lodge Loop, Stringybark Walk and Stringybark Loop.
